PrimeRES Energy Corporation (individually and collectively known as “PrimeRES” “the company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and recognizes the need for appropriate measures to protect and manage your personal data when transacting or doing business with the company.

This Privacy Statement aims to assure you of our commitment to observe the appropriate level of personal data protection in compliance with the standards prescribed by Republic Act No. 10173, otherwise known as the “Data Privacy Act of 2012,” its Implementing Rules and Regulations, and the company’s internal data privacy and protection policies.

We may collect and process your personal data in the ordinary course of the company business which may include but is not limited to:

  1. Personal Identifiable Information (PII) (Contact Information, Account Information, Government-Issued IDs)
  2. Electricity Consumption Data
  3. Billing and Payment Information:
  4. Contractual Information: Details of the electricity supply agreement.

Information Typically Collected from Partners (Suppliers):

  1. Company name, business address, email address, phone number.
  2. Names and contact details of key personnel (e.g., account managers, representatives).
  3. Bank account details for payments.
  4. Details of the supply agreements, terms, and conditions.

PURPOSE AND USE OF COLLECTED PERSONAL INFORMATION

When necessary, PrimeRES requests for your Personal Data, stores, processes, and analyzes the information collected for the following purposes:

  1. To perform our obligations as Retail Electricity Supplier;
  2. To improve our products and services to you;
  3. For identification or verification purposes;
  4. To communicate or contact you with regard to your account with us;
  5. To send information about our programs and service offerings that may be of interest to you;
  6. To evaluate and determine your continued qualification for service connection;
  7. To administer and/or manage your service connection and account with us;
  8. To keep an internal record for confirming, maintaining, or updating our customer records for statistical analysis and internal reporting;
  9. For customer relationship management purposes, such as updating you on our activities in connection with our services;
  10. To verify your identity and eligibility to claim refunds or claim for bill deposits;
  11. To satisfy any legal or regulatory requirements; and
  12. To comply with legal and regulatory requirements and perform such other processing that may be required under any applicable law or regulation.

In the course of performing our services as Retail Electricity Supplier, PrimeRES may engage the services of third-party service providers. In doing so, certain personal information may be required to be disclosed for legitimate business purposes and as may be necessary to provide you with our services.

Access to your personal information is restricted to PrimeRES employees and contractors on a need-to-know basis to carry out their responsibilities with regard to the conduct of our business.

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your Personal Data to third parties. We require our contractors, through a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA), to secure and keep your information confidential and we do not allow them to disclose your information to others, or to use it for their own purposes. If shared, we will, at your request, provide you with details of the companies with whom we have shared your Personal Data.

PERSONAL DATA RETENTION AND DISPOSAL

Your personal information will be retained by PrimeRES until it is no longer necessary for the fulfillment of the purpose/s for which it was obtained and for an additional period of ten (10) years thereafter. After which, the data will be anonymized and utilized solely for statistical purposes.

We keep your personal data only for as long as necessary for the fulfillment of the declared, specified, and legitimate purposes provided above, or when the processing relevant to the purpose has been completed or terminated, for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims, or for other business purposes, that are consistent with standards established or approved by regulatory agencies governing PrimeRES.

CONTROLLING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

You may request for a copy of your personal information in our possession, or have it corrected if you believe that it is inaccurate or incomplete. If you wish to request for a copy of your personal data, or have it corrected or deleted, please reach out to us through our contact information found below. We will make every reasonable effort to correct, update and respond to your request promptly, unless we require further information from you in order to fulfill your request, and in each case, subject to legal and other permissible considerations.
